CIGIDEN provides the following description of this line of research:
"This line of research seeks to create knowledge and best practices in humanitarian assistance at local, regional, national and international levels; addressing actions taken in the phases of preparation, response and recovery of the disaster management cycle. The priority areas of this research line are psychological first aid, humanitarian response and logistics, addressing issues identified in past events in Chile."
