Critical Commentary

The number of homeless people far exceeds the number of shelter beds in Los Angeles County. This greatly differs from other major cities within the US. While the county receives a lot of aid for homeless assistance, most of the money is caught up in courts. The money is there but people don’t want to spend it. Why is LA, a county with a reputation for social programs not offering the basic need of shelter to its residents?
