Critical Commentary

This new 'switching station' brought by Adjaye Associates is in direct response of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Many homes and residences were left powerless (9 out of 10). "In response, PSE&G began upgrading its infrastructure to anticipate overloads, and it planned a switching station in Fairmount Heights to improve its resilience in the face of extreme weather events," (Wachs).
