Stuart Kirsch

Dr. Stuart Kirsch is a cultural anthropologist who worked collaboratively with lawyers responding to a mining disaster in Papua New Guinea, later consulting with communities around the world threatened by mining operations. He is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Michigan, and his research interests include corporations, engaged anthropology, indigenous movements, mining capitalism, political ecology, property, and reverse anthropology.
