During the super storm Hurricane Sandy, NJPAC decided to set aside 2000 tickets for several different performances. Each ticket was priced at $25, and 100% of those profits would go straight to the support relief for those affected by the super storm.
Although this article talks about how NJPAC will donate money to the victims of the natural disaster, it doesn't include how the money will be used: will it be used to help support the people affected by the storm, help rebuild the building destroyed, etc? In addition, I feel as if this article is missing the key information of how severe the storm struck some places along the coast: by providing such information, it would create more awareness and allow a higher chance for the tickets to be purchased to help support the cause.

the vulnerabilities of Hurricane that are affecting community are destroying homes and landscape, which impacted the whole community, included children who need to feel safe and have homes to stay in. Providing any event of arts for the Hurricane victims will help them recover from such a terrible experience.
After Hurricane Sandy, John Schreiber, the CEO of NJPAC, announced that he along with the arts center was going to provide relief for victims of the hurricane. This agency is working hard to minimize the damage of the victims of the hurricane
NJPAC and the performing arts school are providing relief to communities vulnerable and affected by the hurricane. These people include the homeless, people that lost their homes to damage, and people that lived near the shore.
