The Grassroots Global Justice Alliance is an international organization focusing on various kinds of injustices. They have launched various programs, including Global Wellbeing, Grassroots Feminism, Demilitarise and Movement Building, aiming at addressing various types of worldwide justice struggles. 

The Grassroots Global Movement has gathered Climate Justice Alliance, It Takes Roots, People’s Action, and East Michigan Environmental Action Council to build political power for the frontlines communiteis for 2020 and beyond.

The Grassroots Global Justice Alliance is aiming at thriving the green new deal. The core of the work of just transiton from this organizations is the principles mentioned in the green new deal. 

During our visit, I was struck by the landscape around the mound. Vast prairie, with woods in the distance, together with the remote location of the site made space feel empty. This notion of emptiness or insignificance came up occasionally in our discussions as we walked through or looked at artworks of the landscape. However, Kim, in particular, resisted the idea that these ecosystems have nothing to show, but are beautiful in their own way.

I had to think of these conversations again when I looked through the slide show and found this image of the bird house. In contrast to the ongoing dispute about the clean-up at West Lake Landfill, the Weldon Springs mound is emblematic of the idea of remediation/restoration. During our tour, I remember being told that certain species were returning to the site or the surrounding woods (is that correct? what did they say exactly?). Birds are also interesting actors in regards to opening up and cleaning the landfill, which might increase their presence. They have been discussed as both a threat to the nearby airport traffic and a species to be protected from the radioactive wast itself by adding additional measures. 

American Red Cross is an organization aim to provide help and care to those in need. For example, supporting for disaster, blood donation and so on. There are sever main areas within, the Disaster relief, America’s Military Families supporting, lifesaving blood, health and safety services and International services.

America Red Cross is funded by donation and government will offer support. People can donate online such as monthly donation and dedicate as gift to someone. As well as donate by Mail, by calling and text.

The American Red Cross has about 900 branches, and each club has duly authorized by national council. The chairman of the clubs have authority of deciding the most important programs and services. The annual budget will be allocated by National Associations to each club. There are lots of volunteers, doctors and nurse work for this organization.

American Red Cross target to people who suffer from disaster, America’s military families, people who donate blood, people who want to have education and training of health & emergency, and also international communities, such as vaccinate children against measles and families separated by war.

Yes. Licensed Training Providers is offer by Red Cross (LTP). It offer training course for companies, organizations and individuals. There are different areas training programs such as First Aid, AED, Certified Nurse Assistant Training and so on.

America Red Cross is a big rescue organization and it offers a wide services area. It has a good reputation by the public, but also there is some news about the public trust.

The Red Cross strives to help those in need in a time of a disaster, whether it be blood drives, supply, drives or personell.
