I want to continue to support others in their research. I think the ecogov lab is a space to grow as a researcher. I want to continue to be motivated. The ecogov lab has shown me the importance of field notes and why having archiving is important. I hope to make new connections outside of Irvine and continue to connect dots for others.
I want to surround myself with people who want to make a difference in the world. I want to learn tools to make my passion for helping others a reality. I want to put public policy and research together and create realistic goals to eliminate policies that put low income residents at a disadvantage.
On Wednesday Oct 5th 2022, CUAL (Communidad Unida Aire Limpio) hosted an air monitoring day. Santa Ana residents were asked to volunteer and donate their time. There was three shifts available (Morning 7am-10am, Noon 12pm-3pm, Evening 4pm-7pm). A volunteer will use the app Atmotube and pair their phone up with an air monitor. There are driving routes and walking routes. A person will need to stay at each stop of the route for 7 mins. After the route is done, the volunteer will go back and return the monitor and will then send their data to mpnacorg@gmail.com

The object of this study is to observe whether or not there was an overdiagnosis of thyroid cancer after the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011. They did this by comparing the observed prevalance of thyroid cancer in the Thyroid Screening Programme with the estimated historical controls on the assumption that there was neither nuclear accident nor screening intervention.
This PDF does not include the bibliography, but it is clear that a lot of the work is original due to his traveling and conducting of research. His citatiosn throughout the chapter indicate that he did reference other knowledgable and notable anthropologists and their work helped frame his argument.
Delivering AIDS Care Equitably in the United States: AIDS became a disease that disproportionately affected the poor in America. A study done in Baltimore reported how racism and poverty were the cause of excess deaths among African Americans. Efforts were made by physicians to improve community-based care and to get physicians in impoverished areas providing high standard of care. By addressing monetary barriers between poor African Americans and healthcare, dramatic improvements were made and lives were saved. Further studies were done in rural Haiti and Rwanda, which implemented the "PIH model". This model was designed to prevent excess mortality due to AIDS by preventing poverty and social inequalities. It also focused on preventing transmission of the disease. Each of these studies proved to be successful and supported the concept that biosocial circumstances are just as vital to patient care as is the molecular basis of a disease.
This report does not address matters of disaster, but does dive into health issues faced by those discriminated against for being transgender and gender non-conforming.
The main argument in this film is that there is a clear lack of infrastructure in Liberia. Points of intervention that would build more infrastructure or provide better public health education would be good points of intervention.
