I looked up Turkish marriage traditions, EMS systems, and the languages spoken.
I looked up how other countries and areas of the world fund emergency response, like ambulance agencies. I also looked to see in which countries these services are most developed. The last point I researched was the size of the area affected by Chernobyl and the population density of that area.
I looked up how emergency responders deal with mental health, since the method that was described in this article is no longer recommended. I also investigated the types of disaster that people around the world face each year, besides for weather disasters. Furthermore, I looked at a map of the types of disasters across the globe.
I looked into some of the big fires in America's history as well as the emergency response for them. It is very saddening to see how poor the response was back then and how many lives were lost unnecessarily, but at least we have improved.
I looked up how regualtions are formed and put into law after outbreaks of disease to prevent similar outbreaks from happening again. I also looked into how viruses become resistant to drugs and are able to mutate and continue to infect people, even after they have been "controlled". Additionally, I found a list of the safety measures that are recommended for emergency responders based on CDC guidelines.
I followed up by looking at rape rates across the world, how rape is regarded in different countries, and when humanitarian aid started.
