Hurricane Vulnerability/Resilience in Newark

In this PECE essay, there are numerous articles that discuss New Jersey's, mainly Newark's, vulnerabilities and resilience to hurricanes. In the articles, it is shown that Newark is very vulnerable to hurricanes: over flooding, lack of set safety plan (most plans set in place are just general and made on the spot) and the destruction of infrastructure and land. However, there are numerous different types of resilience to hurricanes: support relief groups, emergency state warning, evacuation destinations, shelters spread across cities, and several thousands of donations in support of the victims from the super storms. Overall, although Newark is still vulnerable to hurricanes, there have been several plans on how to make Newark more resilient to hurricanes and how to help out during one of these crises.
