Critical Commentary

Stuart Kirsch's first book, Reverse Anthropology: Indigenous Analysis of Social and Environmental Relations in New Guinea (Stanford University Press, 2006), used fieldwork with the Yonggom people of New Guinea to challenge prevailing notions about indigenous peoples and showcase their analysis-inspired political movements. The Introduction is available on the publisher's website.
