If one reads about these incidents, they all seem to be communicated as minor - too marginal to be considered for preventive action or to follow up on in newspaper articles. However, following Rob Nixons stand on slow violence, these “little, apparently harmless incidents” might be adding up to slow disaster.
One might wonder, what “major” disaster has to happen for the media and general public to increase their interest?
