TS: In this picture, taken by Paul Jobin at the Yunlin County Court in Central Taiwan, a lawyer explains the details of a Formosa Plastics lawsuit to a group of plaintiffs. In our conversation, Paul Jobin said that this picture symbolizes the difficulties to mobilize and "prepare" plaintiffs. At best, many of them are unaware that they have a right to appear in court, but often they are intimidated and fear retaliation. According to Jobin, social scientists can at times help with political organizing, for example by not only interviewing residents, but also informing them about their rights. Likewise, it was Jobin who encouraged the lawyer to take a moment after the hearing to engage with the plaintiffs.

The app cannot be development. The app’s concept miss the most important part that consider the human emotion and reaction in the actual situation. The point for offering evidence on court is okay, but the way that open an app and recording after a rape is pretty bad. This app is created only for a shallow idea, but not consider all the elements for the app to help victim of sexual assault. It is awful app, and the most suitable way is correct positive value, respect and old-fashion empathy.

This app’s function is offer victim of sexual assault find a safe place and to record evidence, such as video and audio of an incident. Use these recoding as evidence. The app save the location of the user and stored the information offline.

Geo-coding technology support the app to get the location of the user when using the app. Double-encrypted to save the information.

Another app of We-Consent is “records student agreeing to sexual activity”. It is terrible as well, it within an implied effect.

This app is bad to use. There is a people write on the app customer review shows there is also an age limit saying 17+. This customer is a rape survivor and she/he think this app is awful and the app should be removed.

The apps were created for individuals who are consenting to sex, revoking consent for sex, or documenting an assault. There was a need (from someone) for such apps to be created, though I'm not entirely sure how this need was assessed.
