Figure 1 was built to serve members of the medical community. It was developed to share unique medical conditions and discuss diseases amongst doctors, nurses, and students.

• "...if these statistics were reflected in the general population, there would be an uproar and lasting change."
• "A focus on mental health, to me, is of the construct of Western European psychological thinking which I think will try to hem the matter into a very small area of inquiry when in fact the discussion has to be much more broadly based."

While, I can not find any specific events that have motivated their thinking about disaster and health, I believe this organization is motivated by the idea that people should be provided the health care they need despite their social or economic status. 

The website doesn't translate or post any data. Participants do not enter the information into the website, if they need to update or provide information it must be given directly to the registry staff.
