AK COVID-Development Studies Intersections

I am currently in the process of transitioning my M.A. level course on Science, Technology, and Development with 11 students to virtual instruction. One of my interests in engaging with COVID-19 is to examine how it (should) informs development ideologies and practices. How should students of development studies retool -- conceptually, methodologically, practically -- in wake of the pandemic?

The app cannot be development. The app’s concept miss the most important part that consider the human emotion and reaction in the actual situation. The point for offering evidence on court is okay, but the way that open an app and recording after a rape is pretty bad. This app is created only for a shallow idea, but not consider all the elements for the app to help victim of sexual assault. It is awful app, and the most suitable way is correct positive value, respect and old-fashion empathy.

The report applied some other goverment research reports, organisation's research article, interview and telephone interview. It can shows the problem of the organisation or system after the disaster. Processing analysation and summary, it can help the organisation or system to promote and develop. The inadequate reponse for Haiti's disasters shows faliure of the aid system. However, the report shows the entire system cannot be condemn by a single case, and also there are two disasters happened in Haiti. The example of similar situation of facing the tsunami in Sri Lanka before the cluster system is built, in contrast, the cluster approach is more flexible as an informal selection mechanism during the Haiti earthquake response. The report have technical professionals to offer more reliable and more reference value.
