A coalition of churches, synagogues, mosques, and cultural organizations located in the Inland Empire. Unfortunately, without any up-to-date number of members in this coalition.
For the org. there is a spiritual connection linking the desert landscapes and religious beliefs. Their primary focus is congregating more groups around environmental hazards in desert lands.

While, I can not find any specific events that have motivated their thinking about disaster and health, I believe this organization is motivated by the idea that people should be provided the health care they need despite their social or economic status.

jaostranderDoctor Adriana Petryna holds a Ph.D in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. She holds an M.A. in Anthropology as well as a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Michigan. She is a professor at the University of Pennsylvania and has been focused on nuclear science and medicine, and it's cultural and political ramifications.
