I am interested in seeing how social ties and networks have been used to cope with (un)natural disasters. My research focus on places under disasters conditions such as Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria, in which social ties have made the difference between life and death. Furthermore, “natural” disaster has been used to approved austerity measures and unjust policies to impoverished communities like in New Orleans after Katrina. These policies were not new, as they are rooted in structures of power to preserve the status quo. Yet, people have resisted, “through a network of branches, cultures, and geographies” that has stimulated a reflective process of looking within for solutions rather than outside. As often this outside solutions are not only detached from community’s reality but can perpetuate social injustices and inequalities.

The platform is designed with several areas and different elements to offer audience a good visualized. It is within text, photos and symbols. Text are applied different fonts, colours, and size, which created a visualized information to audience. 

The problem of this design is if the Live Box are sent, can it be recycled or reuse? To make a product sustainable and environment friendly is important.

The people who are try to be a MSF, and organisations that can help offer more resources for helping people. In addition, any people can help and support, people who concentrate the neglected problem in the world.

FEMA has a new mission which is help to ensure that the nation’s first responders were trained to deal with weapons of mass destruction, and help communities face the threat of terrorism. Especially, it more influenced when 911 happened.
