Mutual Aid/Best Practices vs Local Practices

This image reminds me of how mutual aid and communities keep each other fed, and safe, and how local practices are actually best practices. My own research， although not immediatley related to the specific public health concern of COVID, will focus on Indigenous food soverignty, particularly the right and autonomy to ferment and distribute alcohol (紅糯米酒) within the Amis community, and their current fight with the local health department on declaring whether or not their alcohol is "safe" for public consumption and distribution.

Live Box is designed for disaster zone after the natural disaster. Particularlly the area that relief providers can not arrive immediately. Live Box offers three usage types for different needs which are "air", "land" and " water". For example, the "air" type could be sent by aircraft to the area if the roads are blocked after earthquake. The "water" type could be used for flood-affected areas and it could be used as a shelter on water and land. Similarly, the "land" type could be used as temporary hospital or emergency centre.

Since the article reported that this is the fourth edition of the design, most of the problems are solved during the refurbishment of product. So there are not many problems with the design as they tested with the publics. But they plan to make the bridge “stronger, longer, lighter, more compact and quicker to set up”.

  • Anecdote are used as a tool to reveal the inequality. A Senegalese man was undergo irregular treatment for six years, and his father was injured when serving with the Senegalese Tirilleurs. However, the only source of income are paid very late and is not sufficient.
  • Short Stories are applied to support the arguments, and two stories are compared in Page 96.  
  • Statistics are used to shows the proportion and number are serious in disaster to death included cancer, AIDs. As well as people are suffered with other physical problems and mental problem.

This study has let the news agencies to have a new term to report with the articles that relevant to public health and mass imprisonment when introducing contents to the general publics. The data and observations been made within the epidemiological study has assisted the new articles to explain the incarcerated group in a more colloquial and easy understanding way.
