Where are you situated as COVID-19 plays out? What backstories shape your engagement with COVID-19? How can you be contacted? What questions and settings are you especially interested in following?

I teach anthropology and environmental studies at Haveford College, just outside of Philly. Currently, I'm holed up in a cabin in the Adirondacks in upstate New York with several family members, including my spouse and 4 year old daughter and 3 dogs. I started working on disasters by accident, when one day in 2001 I was walking to class at NYU and saw the World Trade Center buildings on flames. I have known Kim for a few year and I contacted her to connect with folks around Covid-19 and its imacts.

I'm particularly intersted in issues of communal grief, mourning, and bereavement. Also, I'm interested in the religious response to Covid-19.

How to control the damage or worse situation after the disaster?

Prepare nucleaer emergency plants in the area which might be influenced, even expand the area as much as possible. Educated the resisdents about the evauation and emergency respond. When the disaster is happen, people should go indoor and close all the window and door. Keep updating the news and office information. and follow the guidence to evacuate. Government should immediately active the emergency plants and radiological respond when the nuclear disaster acident happen.

How does the product work? What materials is it constructed from?

Live Box is designed in a easy way to use. It can be set up in less than one minute by following a simple graphic instructions. From the poster of the product design, it seems like there is a rope can be pull to extend the shelter and set it up. The more fast set up could more help people in a emergency situation.

Living in Emergency

How is the argument or narrative made and sustained? How much scientific information is provided, for example? Does the film have emotional appeal?

The film show MSF daily life, and difficulties they meet. As well as the personal narrative reveals their inner thoughts and emotions. There are some scientific information is provided. For example, Dr Tom Krueger doing an operation for a man who was shot on the head, and the description of the situation within scientific information. The film have emotional appeal which are struggle, sad and complexity. The music of the film and each characters’ emotions are revealed.
