The main point was to show the reader that people are in the poverty zone in Newark due to the lack of jobs. It is supported through statistics. The poverty rate increases as the unemployment rate increases and jobs decrease.

this graph is a perfect representation of the affects any thing can have on communities.  this graph can be correlated with things like natural disasters and their would be an increase in numbers.

The Income Deprivation Affecting Children Index (IDACI) was referred in the article, which is a deprivation index used in the United Kingdom.

1. There is some sort of racism going on towards black people financially.

2. The amount of people in poverty are greater than expected.

3. The poverty rate is increasing faster than expected.

This article goes in depth with how the children are being exposed to lead in their water and how that actually leads to them doing worse on exams or standardized tests. This was supported through tests and research.

The main argument of the article is to show the people why it is important and it should be taken seriously. It is supported by showing the reader just how badly the children's lives are by living in poverty. 

children were tested for lead poisoning and their was a correlation between those who had lead poisoning and those who were homeless or a victim to poverty.
