這周是我們第一次參與文建站的活動,我和Annabelle見到了李金妹、李金蘭阿嬤兩姊妹,還有何秀妹阿嬤。金蘭阿嬤的五官深邃,總覺得看起來有點酷;金妹阿嬤看起來很聰明,而且相當健談,說話很有條理;秀妹阿嬤則是非常的活潑可愛,說話有很多生動的小動作。

I am currently in the process of transitioning my M.A. level course on Science, Technology, and Development with 11 students to virtual instruction. One of my interests in engaging with COVID-19 is to examine how it (should) informs development ideologies and practices. How should students of development studies retool -- conceptually, methodologically, practically -- in wake of the pandemic?
I further researched health care and illness rates in the area surrounding Chernobyl before the incident, to see if there were any very obvious differences in terms of how health care was handled. I also expanded on what was presented in the article and researched some of the major issues faced by those exposed. In addition, I researched more on the governmental influence and actions taken post Chernobyl in terms of testing of citizens as well as leaderhsip efforts.
This article is discussed and referenced in STS based courses and emergency response seminars and planning committees. The paper is also cited in a book Edited by Richard Hindmarsh and Rebecca Priestley entitles "The Fukushima Effect."
Those that complete the course requirements and achieve all their points will graduate with an MS in Narrative Medicine.
