Pödelwitz is an activist initiative  in the central german coal district, which is located in a village which was supposed to be evacuated for a planned expansion of a neighboring coal mine. After successfully resisting this expansion, the activists now promote social-ecological transformation in the village and the wider region. I will collaborate with them as part of my project in C-urge to study the role of justice in such transformations. Thereby we hope to arrive at an understanding of justice that is not opposed to urgent societal transformation in light of climate change, but a means of achieving this.

As well as the transport is important, the more resource can be sent to disaster zone, the more people can be helped and saved. It not only can send by car, but also airdrop. The end of the film shows the party before Kiara Lepora leaving. They have the meeting with local doctors and nurses, and they said MSF being there, work and then leave. A people said in the party, ‘I was told people over and over again, do not get used to any expatriate. As they go, other people come. And, do not expect any expatriate to come and stay forever. The work must go on. MSF’s work must go on. We told people that MSF is not about individuals. MSF is about everybody. The work must go on.’ It is a struggle parts for MSF, they want to help more people as they can, but they know they cannot stay there forever, they need to get it done and go back home. I agree and understand what the person said ‘MSF is not about individuals, and the work must go on’, it is most comfort words for each doctors and people who have been through the tough time. This is the most compelling part, because it is not only about the work, but also the human nature and feelings.

There are 27 federal agencies that FEMA absorbed included, The Federal Insurance Administration, The National Fire Prevention and Control Administration, The national Weather Service Community Preparedness Program and so on. Besides, it cooperate with non-government organization such as Red Cross.

The American Red Cross has about 900 branches, and each club has duly authorized by national council. The chairman of the clubs have authority of deciding the most important programs and services. The annual budget will be allocated by National Associations to each club. There are lots of volunteers, doctors and nurse work for this organization.

Offer more education, mental health advisory and treatment for people. Following the reports, offer more actions.

The report collect the data after the Haiti's earthquake and epidemic, most reference data is between the 2011 to 2013. It is found many people in Haiti is still live in tents or under tarpaulins. The problem of emergency or reconsttuctions is come out. 

I uploaded this artifact because I believe that reparing Newark’s infrastructure is very important, especially since a lot of it’s economy relies on it. Without the repairs, it would lead to bigger problems such as increasing the cost of maintenance for its residents and the companies that use it daily. This decision made me realize that although Newark is struggling in bringing its economy back, its politicians know that maintaining it’s road is the foundation towards recovering from the recession.
