This report consists of barriers faced by transgender and gender non-conforming people. Specifically with access to healthcare. It also includes statistics about HIV/AIDS, drug abuse, and suicidal tendencies. They also provide information regarding transition-related care with respect to counseling, hormones, and surgery.  

The article involves several disasters throughout American history. The article examines the similarities and differences between the events, their responses, and the policies enacted because of them. The 1814 burning Capitol Building, Hague Street boiler explosion, and the attack on the WTC in 2001 are examples used by the author. The article makes the argument that the investigations resulted in recommendations for change to policy to prevent future damage.

This film is directed towards the general public because of its emotional appeal. It does not have much dry, scientific data, which allows for a more general audience (as opposed to only those who are scientific). It is also targeted to an older population due to the graphic footage of the police shooting the children.

This book has seemingly only been referenced by the author. The book did happen to win The Gregory Bateson Book Prize from the Society for Cultural Anthropology, and is therefore acknowledged by the professional community as being a substantial piece of literature.

OSHA covers most private sector employers and their workers. They also cover some public sector employers and workers in the US and other territories under federal authority. Those districts include DC, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and other islands as well. 

Workers at state and local government agencies are not covered by federal OSHA, but have OSH Act protections if they work in states that have an OSHA-approved state program. OSHA also permits states and territories to develop plans that cover only public sector (state and local government) workers. In these cases, private sector workers and employers remain under federal OSHA jurisdiction.OSHA’s protection applies to all federal agencies and does not cover self-employed individuals.
