Ramah McKay is assistant professor in the Department of History & Sociology of Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Since 2005, she has conducted field work on health, care, and bioscience in central and southern Mozambique (as well as Washington DC and Mumbai, India). Her book, Medicine in the Meantime: The work of care in Mozambique, was published by Duke University Press in 2018. She joins the New Orleans Quotidian Anthropocenes Field Campus as she begins thinking about the private post-disaster industry and the role of feminist theory/feminist sts in making sense of climate and disaster activism, relief, and response.
